To make the most of the sovereignty and interoperability enabled by Matrix, governments need to deploy at scale; across multiple organisations within their own country, between partner countries and mission partner environments. At an even larger scale, they may also need to support government to citizen communications - literally tens or even hundreds of millions of people.
This session explores what’s required to deliver these types of production environments straight out of the box. We'll cover server-side interoperability, mixing and matching Element Server Suite Pro with other Matrix-based solutions without friction, and how to make federation genuinely easy to deploy and manage - within large organisations and with external partners.
For example, when you federate with a partner you should be able to find your colleague in their directory. You should be able to share files with them and collaborate seamlessly, but also safely and in a controlled manner; such as checking what goes in and out of your network with proven Secure Border Gateways.
Finally, we'll explore air-gapped deployments and cross-domain functionality - enabling secure communications across classification boundaries where external connectivity simply isn't an option.
